Description
The elephant, the largest land mammal, is a beautiful creature still facing being killed for their tusks. No artisan will ever use elephant tusks in their work, but substitute this for cow horn or similar. Though unknown by many, elephants are vital for the ecosystem. Not only they help in plant growth because through trampling they create clearings in forests, but they also dig wells to access water underground, hence providing water. Furthermore, through their excrements they disseminate seeds and provide food to other organisms. This piece is a small reminder of all the vital contributions of the elephant to the environment.
