Some people say that the first jewelry was made and worn in the African continent. African jewelers initially used any material available, transforming it to give them the desired appearance. With the passing of time, the transformation processes were improved and some of the jewels you can find in Africa are real pieces of art. Jewelers use animal horn, sea shells, seeds, wood, carved stone, coconut, calabash and basically anything that nature provides. This bracelet is made using horn, that is previously treated to make it as flexible as possible before cutting. The colors are different because the natural horn color is respected.
Given these items are hand-carved by an artisan, the dimensions are approximate, they may vary from one to another.
