Giraffes

Modou is a young artisan specialized in beautiful carvings on wood. You can find him sitting on the steps right in front of his workshop in the crafts market. Though he mainly creates sculptures, he just started carving paintings, depicting the Gambian wildlife. In this work he carved two beautiful giraffes calmly eating grass from the trees. A simple bicolored painting, almost childish, made by a man with the heart of a boy.
