Hippo

Ousman is a unique character. When he talks, he masterfully mixes words of different languages he has been able to learn through the visitors of the market. He likes carving animal figures. Because his sight is not like it used to be, he only takes care of the carving and the sanding and painting is taken over by younger artisans learning in the market. This work depicts a big, beautiful hippopotamus.
