Unity couple

“United we stand”. This motto is popular all over the world, but in African culture it has a special meaning. The unity is a symbol of the power of Africa, of the strength of the family, of the union of the loved ones. Artisans depict this unity in sculptures, candles, paintings. Whether two tangled bodies symbolizing a couple or a group of heads forming a circle, representing the family. A different expression of the unity, so often depicted by Gambian artisans.
